Vallejo Sports Club Philosophy
It is the Vallejo Sports Club philosophy to make sports fun for all those involved. This is inclusive of contestants, coaches, parents, and spectators.
Our focus is to confirm the basic fundamentals of each sport. Building a sound foundation is the beginning of comprehension of more advanced skills. These skills are taught to ages 5 through High School.
We focus on building a continuing program by maintaining a youth counsel which will be the future leaders of the Vallejo Sports Club.
We support and encourage academic achievement. Sports programs teach our youth the discipline to maintain and improve their academic standings. We encourage learning by directing the academic needs to sources for tutoring and mentoring facilities and organizations.
Everything learned during practice sessions focuses and contributes to build:
We teach and demonstrate competitiveness. We stress responsibility, honor, respect, discipline, self control and self esteem.
Sibling participation is encouraged as it provides a platform for building long and lasting family values.
We encourage preparedness, winning with humility, losing with dignity, and bouncing back from losses with a desire to try again and again.
We encourage and demand discipline in terms of adherence to the team code of conduct and focus on our athletes always attempting to attain their best performance. We support and demonstrate self confidence in our athletes to posses a positive attitude and mindset So they believe in themselves and in their acquired skills and abilities.
Most of all our philosophy to promote and encourage academic achievement through sports is the main focus of the Vallejo Sports Club. To encourage our youth to apply the skills and self-esteem learned in sports to their academic lives.
